The Community Comes Together on Anzac Day

The 2025 Avoca Beach Dawn service was a resounding success. People from all parts of our community made significant contributions, too many to name individually.  However, the following sponsors deserve special mention:

Adam, from Avoca Beach Butchery, who supplied enough bacon, eggs, and sausages to fill over 400 hungry stomachs. All proceeds, $1,647, went to the charity Legacy, who look after our veterans.

Stone Real Estate provided bread and all the incidentals associated with the day.

Marj and Con Ryan, huge thanks. Their generous sponsorship of the sound system went a long way toward making it a successful. event.

Avoca Beach Surf Club, for providing the use of the club and the kitchen staff and facilities.

Avoca Beach Community Association members for important contributions.

Sandy West and Michael Scobie of the Avoca Beach Community Association laying a wreath

Last but not least the many volunteers who come back year after year to help make the morning such a success. Amazing!

A special mention to the students of Kincumber High School, who spoke so well, the Avoca Public School choir and our beautiful Kiwi choir.

Big thanks also to Mike Tamblyn for stepping in to take charge of proceedings and to Shaun Williamson who oversaw the whole shebang.

Apologies if I missed anyone. So many are deserving - what a great community!
