Proposed new development in Avoca Village

ABCA learned this week that Development Approval documentation has been lodged with Central Coast Council for a proposed new development in Avoca Village.

We haven’t had time to assess the proposal or to form an opinion, positive or negative, about its impact on Avoca Beach. We encourage all interested Avocans to take a look at the proposal and to submit comments to the Council if they wish to (deadline 28 November).

How to view the proposal and submit comments:

1. Go to the Property and Payments page on the Council website

2. Click on Make a Submission (bottom left tile)

3. Select Applications on Exhibition (first option) then click Next

4. Search the list for DA/1493/2025 - 176 Avoca Drive

5. Select document: PUBLIC - Portal Doc - 176 190 Avoca Drive AVOCA BEACH - DA 1493 2025 - Statement Environmental Effects and download it

6. You can also download and read the other 22 supporting documents but the one above best summarises the proposed project plans

7. To submit comments, click on Make a Submission at the foot of the screen. The deadline for submissions through this website is 28 November but emailed submissions will be accepted through 12 December. Send by email to ask@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au with a copy to Karen.hanratty@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au
